Dos Pueblos Little League will be presented the “Imagine a World” award by Alpha Resource Center on Saturday March 3, 2012. Dos Pueblos Little League families and board members have a long history of embracing people with developmental disabilities, creating an inclusive environment in youth sports that supports all children. The award will be presented at the Dos Pueblos Little League Opening Ceremonies held on March 3rd at 9:00 a.m. at Girsh Park.
For over 50 years, Alpha Resource Center of Santa Barbara has been creating inclusive opportunities for people with developmental disabilities. Alpha provides an environment for growth in education, skills, employment, and independence. The “Imagine a World” award recognizes businesses, organizations, and individuals that treat all people with dignity and respect and fosters a community that welcomes the participation of all people.
